Publication Opportunities

SAMYRAD 2027 offers multiple publication pathways designed to support academic rigor, international visibility, and the broad dissemination of scholarly work.

Book of Proceedings – Abstracts

All peer-reviewed abstracts accepted for presentation at SAMYRAD 2027 will be published in the SAMYRAD Abstract Book of Proceedings.

The volume will carry official publication identifiers, and each published abstract will be assigned a DOI to support permanent identification, discoverability, and citation.

Full Papers – Open Access Proceedings

Full papers successfully completing the conference’s double-blind peer-review process and accepted by the Editorial Committee will be published in the SAMYRAD Open Access Book of Proceedings.

Each published paper will receive a DOI, providing a permanent scholarly record and supporting international visibility and traceability. The proceedings will carry official publication identifiers and will be submitted to Scopus for evaluation and potential indexing.

Invited Journal Publications

Following the conference, the Editorial Team will identify a limited number of outstanding contributions from across the conference submission pool. Authors of selected papers may be invited to develop and submit an extended version of their work to journals associated with SAMYRAD.

Participation in this publication pathway is entirely optional. All invited manuscripts will be subject to the scope, editorial policies, and independent peer-review and acceptance processes of the respective journal.

Publication Pathways and Conditions

Abstract acceptance, acceptance for conference presentation, and acceptance of a manuscript for publication in the SAMYRAD proceedings are separate decisions. Acceptance at one stage does not guarantee acceptance at a subsequent stage.

Manuscripts considered for proceedings publication must successfully complete peer review, required revisions, ethical assessment, and final editorial approval. Authors must follow the SAMYRAD submission guidelines and the copyright and licensing conditions published on the conference website.

Invitations to submit substantially extended manuscripts to associated journals are optional and remain subject to each journal’s independent editorial assessment and peer review. Extended manuscripts must acknowledge the earlier proceedings publication and clearly identify their additional scholarly contribution.

Best Paper Awards

To recognize excellence, originality, and scholarly contribution, SAMYRAD 2027 will honor outstanding work presented at the conference through two distinctions:

  • Best Paper Award: Recognizing an outstanding research contribution distinguished by its originality, methodological rigor, significance, and potential impact.

  • Best Presentation Award: Recognizing excellence in the communication of research, including clarity, engagement, structure, and effective delivery.

These awards reflect SAMYRAD’s commitment to advancing rigorous and impactful scholarship at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Education, while recognizing researchers whose work contributes meaningfully to the advancement of the field.

Journal Publication Opportunity

Authors of selected outstanding contributions presented at SAMYRAD 2027 may be invited to submit an extended version of their work to Intelligent Nudge in Education (NudgEd) for consideration for publication

Design 2.1
Intelligent Nudge in Education (NudgEd)

Intelligent Nudge in Education (NudgEd) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, education, and human-centered innovation. The journal provides a scholarly platform for research addressing the responsible and meaningful integration of AI across higher education, professional development, workforce learning, and lifelong learning.

Invitations will be extended following the conference based on the scholarly quality, relevance, and potential contribution of selected papers. Invited manuscripts must represent a substantial extension of the conference contribution and will undergo the journal’s independent peer-review and editorial process.

An invitation to submit does not constitute or guarantee acceptance for publication.

Authors’ Guidelines

SAMYRAD 2027 invites scholarly contributions addressing the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Education.

Authors are invited to submit a Structured Abstract under one of the following submission categories: Full Paper, Short Paper, or Work-in-Progress Paper. Contributions may include qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods studies; theoretical and conceptual papers; systematic, scoping, and other scholarly reviews; case studies; applied research; innovative educational tools and practices; and ongoing research presenting meaningful preliminary findings or developments.

All submissions must represent original scholarly work, comply with SAMYRAD’s publication ethics and research integrity requirements, and clearly identify their contribution to the field.

Structured Abstracts must be submitted through the ConfTool online submission system, using the official SAMYRAD 2027 template and following the prescribed formatting and submission guidelines.

All submissions will undergo peer review based on criteria appropriate to the submission type, including relevance to the conference scope, scholarly quality, originality, methodological or conceptual rigor, clarity, and contribution to the field.

Acceptance for presentation at SAMYRAD 2027 does not automatically guarantee acceptance of a subsequent full manuscript for publication in the SAMYRAD Proceedings.

Following acceptance of the Structured Abstract, authors will be invited to submit a complete manuscript corresponding to their selected submission category. All manuscripts will undergo double-blind peer review and will be evaluated according to criteria appropriate to their submission type.
